The Best Gaming Mice - Something for Everyone

Hardware 22-04-2022 17:00

There is no perfect gaming mouse for League of Legends. It's important to note that every person has their preferences and therefore the perfect gaming mouse depends on the player not the game.

In this article we're going to take a look at four different gaming mice and maybe you'll find the perfect one for you, eh?

These are the mice we tested for you:

As already mentioned, we cannot tell you which one is the best, but we can give you some details on the hardware so you can make your own decision in the end whether to get one of them or not. These are the criteria we looked at when making this guide:

Number of buttons: In LoL, you use abilities and items by pressing buttons. Whether you have all of them on your keyboard or on the mouse depends on your own personal taste and play style. That's why the right number of buttons is different for every player. We have made sure that each mouse has enough buttons for every type of player.

Sensor: The sensor is the heart of the mouse. It should run flawlessly and not use mouse acceleration, as this can distort your movements. We have selected mice that meet these criteria.

Connection: Especially with wireless mice, it is important that the connection is lightning fast so that your inputs arrive without delay. That's why we only selected mice that promise a response time of one millisecond or less.

There are other criteria like the size of the mouse, illumination or DPI count. However, these are all personal preferences. That's why we've made a general list of mice that should fit any and every League of Legends player.

Logitech G Pro Wireless - The Classic Mouse

The Logitech G Pro Wireless is a classic when it comes to gaming mice. It's basically the Copa Mondial of gaming mice. It's a sleek mouse with great performance. According to Prosettings around 80% of pro players use this Logitech mouse – if you want to play like Faker get a mouse like Faker.

As a sensor, you get Logitech's in-house and flawless Hero sensor with up to 25,000 DPI here, even though you probably won't need that much. A good argument for low-sense gamers, so if you play with a low sensitivity, is the ultra-light weight of only 80 grams.

You connect the G Pro Wireless wirelessly via Logitech's Lightspeed technology. This allows you to achieve a response time of just one millisecond. On top of that, you get up to 8 freely programmable buttons.

So if you like the simple design, light weight and size of the G Pro Wireless, you won't go far wrong. However, it is not cheap at just over 100 Euros.

Corsair M65 Pro RGB: The Transformer

A cheaper mouse is the M65 Pro RGB from Corsair. This one will only cost around 60 Euro and is a bit of a looker, if I do say so myself. It's a bit out there and the RGB zones shine out of the mouse, but if you want to make a statement, then this is the one mouse to pick up.

You can adapt the M65 Pro to your needs. For example, this is possible with the weight of the mouse. You can select a weight between 115 grams and 135 grams and also determine the mouse's center of gravity. You can also adjust the DPI in increments of one from 12,000 DPI down to 1 DPI. We don't think you'll be able to play League of Legends with just 1 DPI, though.

Another special feature is the so-called Sniper button on the left side of the M65 Pro. When you press it, the mouse reduces the sensitivity so that you can aim more accurately. This is actually intended for sniper shots in first-person shooters, but it also works with skill shots in LoL. Just give it a try.

Glorious Model O: The Pioneer

The Model O from Glorious is a pioneer in light-weight mice. This is where the honeycomb pattern comes from on the back of a mouse. Multiple newer models have adapted this look to make the mouse lightweight.

The Model O seriousy feels like it weighs nothing. Well it's only 67 grams, whcih is nothing compared to other mice. If you want even more light weight, then you can go for the Model O- which is especially made for smaller hands. THis verison only weighs 58 grams!

Built in is the flawless Pixart PMW-3360 sensor with up to 12,000 DPI and a polling rate of 1,000 Hz, which means a response time of one millisecond. The Model O only has six buttons, but if that suits your gaming style and you're looking for a very lightweight mouse, it's a good choice.

Razer Viper Ultimate With Hyperspeed-Technology: Just How Fast is this Mouse?

If you're looking for a wireless mouse with the best raction time, then you've got to pick up the Razer Viper Ultimate. According to Razer, it is three times faster than wireless gaming mice from other manufacturers. The technology is also supposed to save energy, which means you don't have to charge it as often.

The Razer Focus Optical Sensor is installed and it manages up to 20,000 DPI. Even the switches under the left and right mouse buttons come Razor – the Razor Optical Switches – and they have a reaction timer of 0.2 milliseconds.
