5.Quinn & Valor: This dynamic duo has been lost in the shuffle lately, but their lore is pretty much unchanged since its creation. Other Demacian champions are involved in their country's conflict about the mages, but Quinn's wanderings seem to have left her missing. What has she been up to? Credit: Riot Games

4. Corki: Supposedly, Corki is the leader of an aviator squadron from Bandle City, been to Piltover and won many dogfights before his semi-retirement. Except... there don't seem to be that many planes on Runeterra, and there is pretty much no mention of any large fights between them. Corki's lore feels like a relic from the early days of League of Legends, like the grizzled yordle himself. Credit: Riot Games

3. Fizz: Considering everything that happens in Bilgewater, it should be pretty hard to live nearby and not get involved with it - but Fizz manages to do just that. The Tidal trickster is nearly unconnected to everyone around him. His backstory mentions a destroyed city, but like Fizz himself, it is disconnected from everything else around. Credit: Riot Games

2. Alistar: Don't get us wrong, there's nothing wrong with a good revenge story, but Alistar's does not offer much more. With the change of Noxus from a cliche villainous empire to a ruthless, but diverse expansionist one, having a minotaur gladiator just because can be a bit flat. Besides, it may be nitpicking, but Alistar's kit in-game does not entirely match a "gladiator" persona, does it? Credit: Riot Games

1. Rammus: One of League's iconic early characters is now mostly forgotten - and his place in the lore does not exactly help with that. The armordillo is just there, supposedly showing up now and then in dramatic moments. Is he an Ascended? The last of his kind? The secret to a new future for Shurima? Should we care? We don't know.
