Happy Birthday Sett!
League of Legends: 3 Reasons Why Sett is Bisexual
Sett is one of the most popular top lane champions and while he might have a tough exterior he is actually a big softie with a heart of gold... when it comes to his mom. Throughout the last few years Riot has also queer-coded this character more and more.
Throughout the last few years, Riot has added more and more skins to Sett's list of growing looks and there have been some hints at the champion being more than just straight. Of course, these are just speculations and Riot have not confirmed, nor denied what his sexuality truly is.
So, let's investigate to try and figure out whether the hints have some substance behind them, or it's just fans on Twitter / X being delusional.
League of Legends: Reasons Why Sett Is Bisexual
Reason 1: He is the Boss
What does being the boss have to do with being bisexual, you might ask? Well, let’s get real here, Sett is the boss and he can have anyone he wants in the sack. Do you really think someone like Sett will think twice whether the person is a man or a woman?
As the boss, if he likes them he will invite them to his chambers. There are probably enough fanboys out there who would love to spend some private time with Settright. Does Sett seem like someone who would say no to a good romp? Nope, not at all.
So, like the Alpha that he is, he will take anyone willing and not think too much about their gender.
Reason 2: His Reflection In Multiple Skin Universes
Now, I know that a lot of fans love to ship Sett with Aphelios. The two are good-looking male champions that released only months apart and while in canon it might not make too much sense, the pair have more skins together than actual League of Legends couples it feels.
In Sett's Firecracker skin we see Aphelios in the background, the pair are in a band together having pillow fights in HEARTSTEEL and Sett calls Aphelios "Mooncake" in the Spirit Blossom skin... now if that isn't love then I don't know what is.
Of course, with Sett being so popular and having women around all the time as well, it just gives off bisexual vibes like no other and while skins are just alternate universes, why couldn't this bleed over into canon as well, right?
Reason 3: Sett’s Workplace Environment
In Sett’s color story and in his champion lore we find out that Sett first got into fighting after searching for his father – a pit fighter who had abandoned them. He started fighting himself, gaining a name before eventually becoming the boss.
But was there more to it than just him enjoying the fight and the riches that come with winning? Being surrounded by beautiful women in the crowds, cheering him on, while fighting chiseled and buff men? Every bisexuals dream.
Is Sett Really Bisexual?
Riot has not stated whether Sett is bisexual, straight, gay, asexual or anything else in the rainbow. This is all just speculation, but as mentioned before, Riot is adding more depth into their champions. Just a few years ago, Leona and Diana were confirmed to be LGBTQIA+, so why can’t we also have Sett be bisexual?
These are small character traits that could add more character depth and create more inclusion. But as said, this article was just for fun and if Sett ever does turn out to be bisexual, then we can say, “I told you so.”
