Mid-Patch 12.02 Tier List: Mid Lane

The Mid Lane Meta can change very quickly! We've seen a bunch of changes to the midlane recently following the preseason changes. If you're trying to find the best mid laners to climb with in LoL Patch 12.02, you'll find it here!

LoL Patch 12.02 is one of the first patch's after some large meta shifts. This means no one is exactly sure of what the best champs are yet. LoL Patch 12.03 focuses mainly on bruisers and toplane, so expect midlane to settle down this patch.

Who Are Our S-Tier Mid Laners in LoL Patch 12.02?

Fresh off some buffs, Veigar has been dominating the midlane this patch. After his Q cooldown got greatly reduced and the amount of stacks he gets increased, Veigar has been hitting his late game power fantasy consistently, but now in the early game. The Tiny Master of Evil is absolutely one of the best champions in the game in LoL Patch 12.02. Unfortunately for him though he's still short.

• Veigar - Win Rate 51.6%, Pick Rate: 6.1%, Ban Rate 2.0%
• Anivia - Win Rate 51.2%, Pick Rate: 3.8%, Ban Rate 3,8%

Who Are Our A-Tier Mid Laners in LoL Patch 12.02?

• Vladimir - Win Rate: 50.84%, Pick Rate: 5.4%
• Tryndamere - Win Rate 50:75, Pick Rate: 5.9
• Yone - Win Rate: 49.6%, Pick Rate: 6.9%
• Vex - Win Rate: 51.8%, Pick Rate 4.3%
• Qiyana - Win Rate: 49.8%, Pick Rate: 4.1%

Although normally seen toplane, Tryndamere has been tearing up the midlane in High-Elo and Pro Play. It doesn't hurt that he's quite easy to play, and a flex pick. Make sure to put a few games and try him out! Not everyone's into sniffing glue sticks instead of playing league of legends, but if you can handle it Tryndamere is pretty free LP.

Who Are The F-Tier Mid Laners in LoL Patch 12.02?

These Champions are generally incredibly difficult, and require you to be a One-Trick to make them work. Unless you're willing to put in the time in normals, don't subject your team to these champions!

Don't be fooled by Aurelion Sol's Win Rate! Only One-Tricks with thousands of games play him, his stats are incredibly skewed because of his low playrate!

• Aurelion Sol - Win Rate 53.6%, Pick Rate: 0.4
• Vel'Koz - Win Rate: 49.6%, Pick Rate: 0.7%
• Orianna - Win Rate 47.9%, Pick Rate: 1.3%
• Neeko - Win Rate: 49.6%, Pick Rate: 0.6%
• Zoe - Win Rate 47.3%, Pick Rate: 1.2%
• Ryze - Win Rate: 46.2%, Pick Rate: 3.5%

Neeko is on the verge of being viable in the meta, but she just finds herself out classed by more mobile, longer range champions. If you're really dedicated and learn how to effectively use her clones and passive she is probably viable. We don't recommend it however, as other champions are just better options.
