Some champions are meant to be played in higher elos, while others will only ever be viable for beginners in League of Legends. Now one champion that is mostly seen in low elo has made his way back into the pro meta.

LoL Patch 13.10 has made some major adjustments to the item pool in League of Legends and these changes have catapulted some iconic champions back into the limelight, especially in higher elos.

LoL Patch 13.10: Tryndamere Has Become Go-To Mid Lane Pick

When looking at the ratings of champions in Challenger, one mid lane champion truly stands out as a unique pick that most haven't thought about in forever and that is none other than Tryndamere. The fact that he is such a strong pick in mid is also odd, since most play him in the top lane.

But it hasn't been that long since Tryndamere was meta, with players like Perkz forgetting to press his ultimate in time and dying needlessly. So we have seen the champion before, but he definitely isn't the first champion anyone thinks of when they think "Challenger gameplay".

In LoL Patch 13.10 Tryndamere has a 59% win rate in Challenger and a 53% win rate in Platinum+. That's not too shabby for this old and simple champion, eh? It goes to show that anyone can truly play and master him.

Looking at previous patches, it also comes to light that he hasn't randomly shot up the tier list thanks to the introduction of new items or item changes, but his win rate in the mid lane has been pretty consistent throughout the last few weeks. In Patch 13.9 he almost had a 54% win rate in Plat+ according to lolalytics

Tryndamere is extremely simple he borders on boring. His ultimate is a simple 'I dont die' button which can save him with ease and waste time for his team to arrive to help him, so it's no surprise that he's actually a pretty decent champion.

With the LEC and LCS starting back up soon, will we see Tryndamere in the big leagues or just encounter this annoying champion in our solo queue matches?
