5. Nocturne: He is a classic champion and you will not forget the iconic "Darkness" when he ults you (scream or curse, maybe, but not forget). When you do see him, he does not live up to his reputation. Riot's visual storytelling has been quite good lately, and Nocturne could really benefit from that. | © Riot Games

4. Shyvana: We were hoping that she would be the next big update - but Riot nixed that idea in the Udyr VGU update. Her half-dragon status and the transformation could be better expressed, especially considering how her transformed side compares to the newer, snappier-looking dragons on the Rift. | © Riot Games

3. Quinn: Spoiler - Quinn is the newest champion on this list, still coming out long ago - in 2013, to be exact. A skill update in 2015 is the only big change she has had, and it shows in some of her janky animations. 2. Cho’Gath: Cho has been monstering through League of Legends for a very long time and has seen some small updates, but he still looks a quite dated. Like several other champions on this list, he was featured in Riot's previous poll on what champions to update next. The bulkier his model gets with more ultimate stacks, the more awkward his animations become. We already discussed how much he needs this, but we want to repeat it here as well. | © Riot Games

Honorable Mention - Shaco: the Joker of Summoner's Rift, Shaco is another champion who has not seen a big rework for a long time. While his visuals do mostly match his theme, a rework like Fiddlesticks' could bring out his diabolical genius. With a nickname like the "Demon Jester" and a new animation, the sky is the limit for this maniacal murderer. | © Riot Games

1. Rammus: Rammus might have gotten a minor visual update, but neither his kit nor his overall looks are "Okay" in our book. The armordillo has been a part of LoL from the very beginning. Even with the updates, though, he simply looks goofy.| © Riot Games

Top 5 LoL Champions LoL 2022

League of Legends has been steadily getting new champions for over twelve years and is now pushing the 160 mark. While getting new stuff feels good (barring a few rather egregious examples - you are not cute enough for us to forgive you, Yuumi), it has also meant that some of their older designs are not really looking on par with the new hotness. To be fair, there have already been many visual and gameplay updates, and the announced Udyr rework certainly has us on board - but there are many that also need to get a revamp. Can we get a "Rito pls?"
