Unexpected Error with Login Session in your LoL Client? Don't worry. This is no reason to give up on your long-scheduled gaming evening. Here is how to fix it.

Have you ever tried to log into the client and had the message "There was an unexpected error with the login session. Please try again." pop up? Don't panic just yet! We have a few steps you can follow in order to play your favorite game in no time.

Unexpected Error With Login Session Fix: 3 Easy Steps

Step 1:

Press Alt+F4 on your keyboard. Usually, this command will close the client you are using, but the League of Legends client will make a menu with two options showing up: "sign out" and "exit". When this menu pops up, make sure to press "sign out" and not "exit".

Step 2:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc. This command will open your Task Manager. Once you are into your Task Manager, close all instances you can see saying "RiotClientServices.exe" and "LeagueofLegends.exe".

Step 3:

Try to open the League of Legends or Riot Games Client again and log in.

After following these three steps, you should be able to play League of Legends again. If you are still having issues logging into League of Legends, repeat all the steps from your first try, but also try to close the program "KillerServiceNetwork.exe" in Step 2. This program might be causing some issues with the bandwidth for League of Legends, as it might be prioritizing other streams, which makes LoL disconnect.
