With LoL patch 11.17, Riot Games put out some more of their beloved mini reworks. What did they do to Gangplank, Lucian and Amumu? We have all the Patch 11.17 rework details for you!

Riot is not always happy with what the community does with their champion balancing. Lucian mutates into a solo laner, Amumu is simply no longer played at all and Gangplank, as a late-game champion, has a far too low win rate after reaching the 30 minute mark. Now the team is helping out and releasing some mini reworks with patch 11.17 that should help the three.

All the buffs and nerfs of 11.17 here:

LoL Patch 11.17 - Gankgplank Mini Rework

Let's start with the passive. Unlike before, it now scales with Gangplank's level. He now only gets 15% Movement Speed, which increases up to 30% in the course of the game. Before, the pirate could sprint around with his 30% from the start.

Grasp of the Undying
users now have to be strong now. The numbers have not been changed, but his Gangplanks Q now counts as a ranged attack. This means you hardly benefit from the keystone anymore. We recommend switching to Press the Attack.

But Gangplank has not only been nerfed though. His barrels now have a real impact - in the truest sense of the word. Previously he had three, now he can collect up to five charges on his E. In addition, the barrels remain standing for so long that you could theoretically add a sixth one. This means that you can now poke much more efficiently, team fight and really give the Carries a run for their money. And the best is yet to come: the scaling with critical damage has been increased to 125%!

LoL Patch 11.17 - Lucian Mini Rework

Lucian is an ADC meant to be played in bot lane. And that's where Riot wants to see him again. He loses base AD, but can save up to four auto attacks through abilities. That means you can use Q and W and then burst your opponents. In addition, abilities from allies empower your next 2 Auto Attacks. Of course, this gives him a significant advantage in Bot Lane over his solo lane variant.

The biggest buff to the Lucian rework is his Ultimate. The number of shots now scales with the critical hit chance and the base damage remains basically the same.

LoL Patch 11.17 - Amumu Mini Rework

Amumu is supposed to come back into the game as a Tank-AP-jungle and also shall be picked again in high elo. That's why he now has two charges on his Q. This sounds excessive at first, but he has to wait three seconds before he can use it again.

Also, every other ability has been toned down a bit and the Ultimate now always stuns for 1.5 seconds.

We are curious to see how the mini reworks will affect the meta. Whether Amumu can really stand up to Xin, Diana and co. Amumu can really hold his own in the Jungle is questionable. And Lucian's crit build has been buffed so much that he will surely still be picked on the solo lane. Gangplank? Simply stronger than before - definitely a dangerous rework.
