 LoL Patch 12.22 just dropped and it has changed the meta completely. Jungling is much easier than before and we've now got some companions on our side to keep us safe from any and all obstacles that could come in our way. But with these changes we've also got a few OP picks and champions. 

So we're going to go over the mid-patch update and see what is up with LoL Patch 12.22b. Which champions got buffed and what items are being nerfed by Riot right now?

System Updates in LoL Patch 12.22b

A couple of items are getting some updates from Riot. Heartsteel is one of the best items in the meta right now, but we've got a lot of other great new items, though some of them need a little bit of a push... therefore there are multiple item buffs in this mid-patch update. 

Item Buffs

Jak’Sho the Protean
  • Bonus Armor and MR per Stack: 2 ⇒ 3
  • Percent Bonus Armor and MR at Maximum Stacks: 10% ⇒ 15%
Radiant Virtue
  • Maximum Health Heal Ratio: 1% ⇒ 2%
  • Non-Ultimate Ability Haste: 15 ⇒ 20
  • Uncool Cooldowns: Fixed a rare bug where Radiant Virtue could permanently reduce an allies ability cooldowns
Rod of Ages
  • Total Cost: 3200 ⇒ 2800

Item Nerfs

On the other hand, we've also got one single item nerf and that is to our favorite top lane late game item – Ravenous Hydra that, with it's new stacking system, has become one of the top tier items in the game. Definitely worth a nerf if you ask me.

  • Unique Passive - Carnivorous AD per Stack: 0.6 (24 maximum AD) ⇒ 0.5 (20 maximum AD)

Champion Updates in LoL Patch 12.22b

Now we've gone over the items and what Riot is changing there, but those aren't the only updates we're getting. There are some major champion adjustments on the table as well which we have to look at. So let's go over all the bug fixes and updates we can find here.

AmumuE - Tantrum
  • Cooldown Reduction when hit by Basic Attacks: 0.5 seconds ⇒ 0.75 seconds
  • Magic Damage: 75/100/125/150/175 (+50% AP) ⇒ 85/110/135/160/185 (+50% AP)
IvernP - Friend of the Forest
  • Health Cost: 131-70 (levels 1-18) ⇒ 98-0 (levels 1-18)
  • Mana Cost: 135-66 (levels 1-18) ⇒ 90-0 (levels 1-18)

R - Daisy! 

  • [BUG FIX] Fixed a bug where Daisy could take kill credit for Drake and not give the credit towards Soul to her respective team
  • [BUG FIX] Fixed a rare bug where Karthus would momentarily revive from his passive if he had the Chemtech Soul buff
KindredQ - Dance of Arrows
  • Bonus Attack Speed after Casting: 25% ⇒ 35%
MaokaiE - Sapling Toss
  • Empowered Slow Amount: 45% (+0.6% per 100 bonus HP) (+2% per 100 AP) ⇒ 45% (+0.9% per 100 bonus HP) (+4% per 100 AP)
RammusW - Defensive Ball Curl
  • Base Bonus Armor: 40 ⇒ 50
  • Bonus Magic Resistance: 10 ⇒ 15
  • [BUG FIX] Fixed a bug where Shaco’s boxes from his W would no longer deal bonus damage
  • [BUG FIX] Fixed a bug where Viego would no longer gain bonus jungle experience after ending possession of an enemy champion

There are quite a few bug fixes to be found here, which is nice to see. If we know anything it's that there are a multitude of bugs and issues with the game, especially after a big patch update like this one. Thankfully Riot is quickly fixing some of the major issues and isn't waiting for Patch 12.23 to fix them. 

ARAM Champion Updates 

ARAM is a very important part of League of Legends, especially with the next Clash taking place on the Howling Abyss. So, Riot is fixing some champion stats so that everything is nice and balanced... almost 

  • Akali: 115% Damage Dealt ⇒ 110% Damage Dealt
  • Ashe: 0 Bonus Attack Speed Scaling ⇒ 0.01 Bonus Attack Speed Scaling
  • Kalista: 0 Bonus Attack Speed Scaling ⇒ 0.01 Bonus Attack Speed Scaling
  • Kayn: 100% Healing ⇒ 80% Healing
  • Kha’zix: 115% Damage Dealt ⇒ 110% Damage Dealt
  • K’Sante: 100% Damage Taken ⇒ 90% Damage Taken
  • Lillia: 100% Damage Taken ⇒ 105% Damage Taken, 95% Damage Dealt ⇒ 90% Damage Dealt
  • Lucian: 100% Damage Taken ⇒ 95% Damage Taken
  • Seraphine: 0 Ability Haste ⇒ -20 Ability Haste
  • Shyvana: 100% Damage Dealt ⇒ 95% Damage Dealt
  • Sona: 0 Ability Haste ⇒ -20 Ability Haste

Those are the biggest and most important changes for now, but be sure to check constantly, because there will likely be more mid-patch updates, especially since Patch 12.22 is going to be a three-week patch and not just a two-week patch as usual.
