League of Legends: All Skarner Splash Arts — Before And After The VGU

1. Base Splash: This is the old one. We will definitely miss the crystals in his theme, but other than that... nothing much. | © Riot Games

2. Base Splash: Skarner's new splash art makes him look and feel as massive as he truly is. He really is one of the Yun Tal in Ixtal now and this just makes him stand out from the rest of the monster champions in the game. | © Riot Games

3. Sandscourge Skarner: Okay, this splash art is from 2011 and one of the odler ones so we can be nice to it... but let's be real, this needed an upgrade even if Skarner hadn't been getting a VGU. | © Riot Games

4. Sandscourge Skarner: Now this... this is a splash art. He looks huge, which Skarner is supposed to be and he looks scary. 10/10 glowup. | © Riot Games

5. Earthrune Skarner: This skin was 520 RP and it was worth that price. It isn't anything special and doens't do much with him, so thankfully it's getting upgraded. | © Riot Games

6. Earthrune Skarner: With the VGU, not only has the splash art vastly improved (once again, the OG was from 2011) but the skin also got a glowup which has increased the price from 520 to 750 RP. | © Riot Games

7. Battlecast Alpha Skarner: This is a legendary Skarner skin and was already pretty good. If you wanted a cool Skarner skin, then this is the one you should have chosen. | © Riot Games

8. Battlecast Alpha Skarner: This legendary skin is even better now that he finally looks the part. The splash art didn't have too much of a change. I do appreciate how they adjusted his face though and added in his extra stingers. | © Riot Games

9. Guardian of the Sands Skarner: This was a pretty cool skin for the price tag of 975 RP. The splash art is also pretty cool, so Riot likely didn't have to make too many changes. | © Riot Games

10. Guardian of the Sands Skarner: This splash didn't change too much. We can now see his added stingers, but with both Rammus and Xerath in the picture there isn't too much change. | © Riot Games

11. Cosmic Sting Skarner: This is the newest Skarner skin and by new we mean this bad boy released in 2020. | © Riot Games

12. Cosmic Sting Skarner: The newest skin didn't have too much changed in it's splash art... and that's fine because it's already a pretty cool splash to begin with. | © Riot Games
