5. Braum: Braum has some incredible lore that truly brings out his character. We find out how he got his giant shield – and why it looks like a door. We also get to witness his kindness and just how out of control the rumors surrounding this man can be. Honestly, it's interesting, wholesome and an adventure. 4. Dr. Mundo: The mere thought that Dr. Mundo was once just a friendly Zaunite henchman is quite something. His huge deformed body doesn't make him look like a 'regular' person, but rather something out of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Mundo's lore is quite gruesome, but one of the best in League of Legends. | © Riot Games

Renekton no Skin

3. Renekton: Renekton has some pretty sad lore. Could you imagine that this giant croc was once a human? Yeah, and he even had a brother – Nasus. Renekton has such an interesting background story, we really don't want to ruin it for you. Go out and read it, it's a ride and quite an adventure. 2. Nunu & Willump: Nunu's lore is very unique and one of the most intruiging ones League of Legends has to offer. Not only is the lore about the young boy – Nunu – who got separated from his mother, but also the beast Willump whom the boy chances upon when he searches for her. 1. Zed: Zed probably has one of the best villain origin stories out there. Betraying the Kinkou Order, killing the man he called father and facing off against his own brother. His lore has everything you'd want and thankfully Riot even turned parts of it into a comic book for everyone to enjoy! | © Riot Games

With Arcane being such a huge success, lore has come more to the forefront of League of Legends. While some champions are in dire need of new lore, some need to be completely reworked and some just have awful stories, there are a lot of gems out in the League of Legends universe. Lore is an essential part of League of Legends.

Sure, you don't need to know that Ekko had to watch his friend die over-and-over until he finally manged to work out how to use his time machine perfectly, when you're playing him on Summoner's rift, but it's such an interesting tidbit and brings these characters even more to life.

With games like Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, we got to see into the lives of other characters and this has also furthered the lore agenda of any League of Legends fan. Now imagine how much more lore we can indulge in when the MMORPG finally releases, right?
