League's newest champion is here!
New LoL Champion: Milio Finally Revealed
League of Legends is getting a brand-new enchanter to the rift and his name is Milio. Riot decided to make a fun and wholesome character after a multitude of darker champions have hit the rift in 2022.
Milio is going to be the first new champion of 2023. His kit is simple and made for players who don't want to read a whole thesis before playing a champion. He's a simple enchanter that just does enchanter things, so let's go over everything we know about this cute new support champion from Ixtal.
League of Legends New Champion: Milio's Abilities
First and foremost, to understand whether he is viable in pro play, as well as solo queue, it's important to know what the champion even does, right? Enchanters will buff, heal and shield their allies and that is exactly what Milio does, with a focus on long ranged AD champions.
Will Faker still hate solo queue when Milio is released?
These are his abilities and what they will be doing:
P - Fired Up!
- Milio's abilities enchant allies on touch, making their next damage deal a burst of extra damage and burn the target.
Q - Ultra Mega Fire Kick
- Milio kicks a ball that knock back an enemy. The ball launches upward on hit and falls toward the enemy, damaging and slowing enemies in the area upon impact.
W - Cozy Campfire
- Milio creates an empowering zone that heals allies and increases attack range to those inside. The zone follows the ally nearest to the cast point.
E - Warm Hugs
- Milio tosses a shield to an ally, temporarily increasing their movement speed.
R - Breath of Life
- Milio unleashes a wave of soothing flames that heal and remove crowd control effects from allies in range.
In team situations Milio is going to be great, especially his ultimate can be used for big team fight moments against heavy crowd control champions like Leona or Amumu who can stun and slow multiple enemies. As long as Milio avoids the CC he can cleanse his allies.

How Difficult Is Milio?
Milio is going to be a low difficulty champion. He is the complete opposite of K'Sante when he was first revealed. K'Sante has a multitude of dashes and combos to pull off to be as strong as possible, while Milio seems to be a very simple and straightforward champion.
Milio is great at peeling for his ADC thanks to his Q, he works best with long ranged champions like Caitlyn and Aphelios thanks to his W and his R is a simple cleanse and heal built into one. So if you're looking for a new and simple champion to play, then Milio will be the one for you.
