Syndra is finally getting some love!
Syndra Mid-Scope Update Announced
Syndra is an iconic champion. So many players have shown off just how insane she is in pro play, but throughout Season 12 she hasn't gotten the same amount of love as she used to. Now, Riot is trying to spruce her up once more by completely reworking her kit in a mid-scope update.
We're going to go over all the changes they've got planned for her and what they will do to make Syndra great again. With her being a staple in pro play with players like Bjergsen and Jensen showing off their skill we sure hope to see her in 2023 shine after her update – since the mid-scope is too late for Worlds 2022.
Syndra Mid-Scope Update Abilities Revealed
On Twitter Riot TheTruexy revealed some of the reasoning behind the mid-scope changes. He explained that they wanted to open up her passive for bigger high moments in the game, as well as give her real feelings of power upgrades.

Also, the changes to her W should make her late game W feel much better while the E changes should make her E also more important in the early game. So, let's go over every single change that will hit the PBE server and soon live servers.
Ability | Changes |
Transcendent (P) |
|
Base Stats |
|
Dark Sphere (Q) |
|
Force of Will (W) |
|
Scatter the Weak (E) |
|
Unleashed Power (R) |

Her ultimate will now also execute when she's got 100 Splinters of Wrath. To compensate for this addition her ult has been made less powerful though. Do you think this is a necessity in her kit, or would you have rather seen Riot go a different route on this one?
Syndra Mid-Scope Update Release Date
The Syndra mid-scope release date should be in LoL Patch 12.19. The changes will hit the PBE cycle for 12.19 and players will be able to give feedback to Riot via their PBE Reddit page. Sadly, these changes come too late for the 2022 League of Legends World Championship which will be played on LoL Patch 12.18.
These changes coming so late into the season will give players time to adjust to the new Syndra passive and then once Season 13 starts they'll be able to wipe opponents off the map with their Syndra skills in the mid lane.
