G2 Esports CEO Carlos Rodriguez resigns
Yesterday G2 Esports announced that their CEO, Carlos Rodriguez, will be stepping down from his role following an ongoing controversy. Many have come to know Carlos as one of the most enigmatic figures in Esports, as he has always been a very outspoken person on social media. However, it seems that time has finally run out for G2's founder.
G2 Announce Carlos Resignation
This announcement should not come as a shock to any fans or speculators that were following the debacle on social media. However, it's still somewhat surprising how fast things developed over the past week or so.
The video that Carlos 'Ocelote' Rodriguez posted in which Andrew Tate could be seen at a party was published on twitter only a week ago. One may argue that G2's former-CEO may have had a better chance of sticking with the company had he not 'doubled-down' on his ability to "party with whoever the fuck I want.”

Carlos also dropped a video on twitter alongside the official announcement from the G2 Esports account with some final remarks on the situation in his trademark 'vlogging ceo' style. In said video, he reflected upon the past 10+ years and said that he will take 'full responsibility' for happened in the last week.
Before the video ended, Carlos hinted at the future by talking about 'getting back up'. Only time will tell what the future holds for G2's creator. In the meantime, we'll all have to wait and see.
