And I was hoping for a Freljord Christmas...
Riot Forge - Convergence and Song of Nunu Will Be Delayed
Riot Forge has been hard at work creating some exciting games for the future. Even though they are enthusiastic about the current state of the new games, they are delaying their releases.
The Song of Nunu and Convergence are the two upcoming games from Riot Forge. Unfortunately, while we are overly eager to see what these games have to offer, it looks like we have to wait for a tad longer, as Riot Forge announces that both games will be delayed.
- Enjoy Song of Nunu on the Nintendo Switch!
Also, the next-gen version of the already available video game, The Ruined King, will be delayed until next year.
There was, however, some good news along with the announcement: If you already own the first version of The Ruined King, you will be able to upgrade to the next-gen for free once it is finished.
What Are Convergence and Song of Nunu?
Convergence, or "CONV/RGENCE, is a single-player, side-scrolling video game developed by Double Stallion Games. In the game, players will be able to explore Zaun while playing as Ekko.
Song of Nunu, on the other hand, is a single-player adventure game developed by Tequila Works, where you get to play as Nunu and Willump in Freljord while on a journey to find Nunu's mother, Layka.
From the game's trailer, it looks like we can expect a wholesome game where we will acquire more insight into Freljord and Nunu's lore while also getting to see some well-known characters from the League of Legends universe, like Lissandra.
Convergence and Song of Nunu Will be Ready in 2023
In the announcement, we learn that both games are scheduled to be released sometime in 2023 and that even though they are very excited about the progress so far, they need a little more time for the finishing touches.
They did not specify when in 2023 precisely the games would be released, so for now, all we can do is wait for further announcements.
