RoyalNeverGiveUp vs EDward Gaming: Battle of the LPL

LPL fans will be heartbroken to find that their two surviving representatives have to face each other. They both shared a 4-2 record in the group stages, albeit against opponents of varying skill. It's worthy to note that these two teams clashed multiple times during the Spring and Summer Split in their region. Although it has been close, RNG hasn't lost a series in 2021.

If that result isn't enough, remember that this team also won MSI 2021; Establishing RNG as the clear favorites in this matchup. All that being said, RNG can't let their guard down - lest they lose out on a chance to reach the finals with a relatively easy path. The winner of this matchup will face Gen.G or C9 depending upon who wins.

This match will take place on October 23rd @ 8AM EDT/2PM CEST

Gen.G vs Cloud 9: Revenge for NA

Gen.G narrowly escaped Group D after battling their way through a 4 Way Tiebreaker. Gen.G was arguably the most consistent team in Group D, however they're clearly mortal as opposed to regional competitors like Damwon or T1. This team looked shaky, which should give some much-needed confidence to Cloud 9 - the lone NA representatives in the Worlds 2021 Quarterfinals.

C9 was the beneficiary of the apparent self-implosion that occurred from FPX in Group A, who lost 4 straight games on the final day of play. Cloud 9 will have to prepare well for this series, as they're the clear underdogs in any match-up at this stage in the tournament.

This match will take place on October 25th @ 8AM EDT/2PM CEST

T1 vs Hanwha Life Esports: Faker vs Chovy

On September 2nd, the World of LoL Esports got to witness T1 overcome HLE in a Best of 5. These two teams have battled again and again in 2021, with varying results that seem to favor T1 in the end. Is Faker just too old? Is HLE too hard for Chovy to carry? These are some of the narratives following both teams as they head into their first series of the Worlds 2021 Knockout Stage.

T1 fans are notoriously vocal about their concerns for the team, but they appear to have a very real shot of taking a World Title yet again this year. On the opposing side, Hanwha Life learned a lot in Group C and seems ready to overcome any challenge headed their way.

This match will take place on October 22nd @ 8AM EDT/2PM CEST

DAMWON KIA vs MAD Lions: Can Damwon be stopped?

MAD Lions fans had to have been defeated after seeing the draws for this match up. They had a difficult time in Group D with teams that shouldn't have given them nearly as much trouble After all, they are the best team in the LEC. However, this team always seems to perform better in Bo5's.

Damwon looks like they're ready to claim another World Title, but MAD might be able to stop the Korean Super-team in their tracks...

This match will take place on October 24th @ 8AM EDT/2PM CEST
