Riot is changing things up in League of Legends Patch 12.6. We are going to have a whole new change to sustain, and one rune path is getting changed to fit this change.

Ravenous Hunter will be removed in the upcoming patch and replaced with a new rune – Treasure Hunter – but what is this new rune even and what will it have in store for us?

New Rune: What is Treasure Hunter?

Treasure Hunter is going to be the new rune which will replace Ravenous Hunter. So say goodbye to the Omnivamp, but Ravenous Hunter seemed to be the only decent Hunter rune from the domination path.

Now, the once best Hunter rune from the Domination path will be removed and replaced by Treasure Hunter. Sounds like it's straight out of an Indiana Jones film, right? But we're not here to debate the name, but rather to check out just what this rune can do and why you should pick it.

This rune does one thing extremely well, and that is make you rich. You are going to be receiving extras gold upon unique takedowns. And we're not talking about a bit of change, but actually quite a lot of money.

According to TheTruexy on Twitter, the rune will give players 70g base +20g per kill. A total of 550g.

Treasure Hunter Effect:

  • Gain an additional 70 gold the next time you collect a Bounty Hunter stack. Increase the gold gained by 20 gold for each Bounty Hunter stack, up to 150 gold. Bounty Hunter stacks are earned the first time you get a takedown on each enemy champion.

Which Champions Should Pick Treasure Hunter?

Since this is a rune that will benefit early game champions that want to snowball fast and hard, this is going to be an ideal rune for mobile jungle assassins. Any champion that wants to pick up kills and get an early lead will take this rune.

So of course, champions like Zed will love this rune or even LeBlanc since she would also usually take the Domination rune path. Pyke is another champion that will thrive with this rune and snowball ahead – and we all know that Pyke is a secret mid lane pick right

When Will Ravenous Hunter Be Deleted?

Treasure Hunter is going to replace Ravenous Hunter in League of Legends Patch 12.6 which is set to release on March 30, 2022. This means that we only have about a week left to enjoy Ravenous Hunter.

At least the Rengar rework is going to go live with this patch and we will also be getting some buffs to Azir who has been struggling in the mid lane, but will ADCs suffer due to the Immortal Shieldbow changes?
