LoL Patch 12.6 Preview | Rengar Update Coming Soon
With Patch 12.5 being a pretty long patch in comparison to other patches, Riot has a lot of time to make some bigger quality of life changes to the game, as well as to the League of Legends client we love so much – please note the sarcasm.
So, what changes can we expect from the next patch, is there any information out on the PBE server already? Let’s take a look to see what Patch 12.6 will have in store for us when it goes live end of March.
Swain Power Shift to Mid Lane in Patch 12.6
Swain has been stuck in the bot lane for long enough. Riot will implement some changes to the champion, his passive, ultimate and Q getting a few updates. Will these changes be enough?
Passive - Ravenous Flock
- [Removed] No longer deals magic damage
Q - Death's Hand
- Cooldown lowered from 9/7.5/6/4.5/3 to 7/6/5/4/3
- Mana lowered from 65/70/75/80/85 to 50/55/60/65/70
R - Demonic Ascension
- Cooldown changed from [120] to [120/100/80]
Swain will likely lose some power due to the passive change, but with the cooldown and mana cost changes he will be much more self-sufficient, which means he could survive in lane. We will have to see how these changes play out once they're live.
Lifesteal Changes in Patch 12.6
Sustain and lifesteal has been a problem in League of Legends. Overhealing has been an issue in League of Legends for a while, so Riot is going to be making some changes to a bunch of items to try and tone it all down.

- Blood Thirster
- AD increased from 55 to 60
- Life steal lowered from 20% to 15%

- Mythic Passive health increased from 50 to 70

Zeri has been hitting a little too hard in solo queue, as well as in pro play, so Riot August has outlined some more changes that will hit the rift in League of Legends Patch 12.6.

Rengar Update Coming to League of Legends Patch 12.6
Remember all the way back in the summer of 2021? There was a little tidbit about Rengar getting a mini rework so that he can be playable again? Well that dream is finally becoming a reality according to Riot Phlox who sent out a tweet detailing just what upgrades the jungle cat will receive.

New Mythic Content Coming in LoL patch 12.6
In the League of Legends season 12 live stream, we learned about the new mythic content that will be implemented in various phases throughout 2022. The first phase is the inclusion of a mythic content shop, in which players can use a new currency called Mythic Essence to purchase unique skins and other content.
In League of Legends Patch 12.6, phase 1 will likely be implemented into the client. This means that players will be able to get their hands on older prestige skins, as well as the upcoming Ashen Knight Pyke skin.
Hextech skins will be retired and in their place, Riot will reveal seasonal mythic skins which can be picked up in the mythic shop. This season it’s the Ashen Knight skin line and Pyke is the first champion to receive a skin.
Anima Squad Event in LoL patch 12.6
With the inclusion of an Anima Squad event ward, we can pretty much confirm that along with the new Anima Squad skins, there will also be an event. This event will be the first to include content in the new mythic shop.
With the Anima Squad, we’re also receiving a Jinx Prestige Skin, which will likely be an event prestige. The Anima Squad event will also be part of the new event system Riot is implementing, meaning players will earn Mythic Essence to get their hands on the skin.
Since the Anima Squad event will take place in Patch 12.6, we still have high hopes for a Void Event in the summer and maybe a High Noon event in the fall. But time will tell when we get those events and whether it’s just us daydreaming.
Ravenous Hunter Removed in Patch 12.6
Ravenous Hunter is the go-to rune in the Domination Path. Ingenious Hunter? Never heard of her. So, Riot has decided, that nerfing the rune hadn’t worked to dissuade players from picking it and therefore have decided to get rid of it completely.
Ravenous Hunter will be replaced with Treasure Hunter in League of Legends Patch 12.6. This rune will earn players extra gold for unique takedowns. You’ll want to get bounty hunter stacks to earn more gold, but the flavor text on PBE isn’t fixed yet, so it’s still hard to gauge how it’ll work.
When Will League of Legends Patch 12.6 Be Released?
The Patch is going to be released on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. This gives players almost an entire month with one single patch, so enjoy the Seraphine support meta, as well as the dominance of Renata Glasc with Zeri in the bot lane.
