Free RP anyone? | © Riot Games

Getting free RP is a luxury Riot usually doesn't allow. Normally, you'll have to slave away at your day job so you can earn Riot Points with real money so you can deck out your favourite champion in some nice cosmetics

Now,  Riot has partnered up with Microsoft to make that a little bit easier. You'll be able to get Riot Points for free — mostly. How can you get these free Riot Points and what do we mean by 'mostly' free? Read on to find out!

How to get Free RP with Microsoft Rewards

Getting free RP with Microsoft rewards is very easy.  You honestly just need to have a Microsoft account and these days anyone has an outlook or live email address, so half the job is basically already done right there.

Just make sure to follow the following steps and you'll be able to start on your adventure to gain free RP.

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft Account
  2. Choose the Goal — either 100 or 650 RP
  3. Follow the various ways to gain RP

What Steps to Take to Get Free RP

There are a few ways to earn  Riot Points. One of the simplest ways is simply to use Bing instead of Google with your Microsoft account logged in. The Microsoft Rewards used to be called 'Bing Rewards' so this only makes sense, right?

You can also play games or go shopping on the Microsoft store with your account. That way you can earn some points as well. So if you already have games with your Microsoft ID linked it should work that way.

Oh, and if that isn't enough then feel free to take some surveys and quizzes. That way you can also obtain some free RP.

Are Microsoft Rewards Really "Free"?

The following steps might not actually cost any real money, but you'll be handing over quite a lot of information about yourself to Microsoft and we all know how powerful information can be in this day-and-age.

Not only that, but you'll have to spend a lot of time online using the Microsoft tools to get your preferred amount of Riot Points. So you'll be investing time into getting the points.

Can you really call it free? You could be climbing ranked in that time or even playing some TFT instead. If you have a Prime Gaming account, you'll also be able to get monthly skins and rewards through that partnership program. It all depends on you and how you feel about the Microsoft rewards program.
