Riot....
Ivern Mid-Scope Update Has Fans Disappointed
Ivern is getting a mid-scope update and fans are not happy with the changes that Riot is going to introduce. Especially with Neeko's mid-scope just around the corner, the few Ivern players out there aren't exactly thrilled with the lack of changes in his kit.
Ivern is a very unique champion, which makes him one of the least played junglers out there. Instead of going for turbo-aggression, he strolls through the forest, takes camps and shields his allies, giving them some utility. No jungler plays like this, hence why he is quite unpopular. Therefore, Riot tried to breathe new life into him with a Mid-Scope Update which is going to go live in LoL Patch 13.10.

Neeko had some insane changes with brand-new tech added as well to support her turning into everything and anything on Summoner's Rift. Ivern on the other hand... well not much is changing.

Riot is giving him some adjustments, like an added shield to his E, if it explodes and doesn't hit any enemies. There is also a nice change for Daisy, who now knocks up enemies when she is summoned, but most of Ivern's abilities have stayed the same... with lower stats though.
These Are Ivern's Updated Abilities
Let's just go over his kit and you'll see how little has changed.
Passive - Friend of the Forest
- Ivern will not hrut non-epic jungle monsters. Instead, Ivern can right-click a jungle monster to grow a Grove which costs health and mana
- Groves:
- Grow over time
- One fully grown, Ivern can harvest them, freeing the camp and earning gold and experience
- Ivern can also smite the Groves to instantly grow and free the camp, earning hold and experience
- Groves:
Q - Rootcaller
- Ivern conjures a vine dealing magic damage and rooting the first enemy hit for 1.2 seconds. Allies that attack a rooted enemy dash into attack range
- Ivern can re-cast Rootcaller to instead dash directly onto the rooted enemy
W - Brushmaker
- Passive: While in brush and for 3 second(s) after leaving it, Ivern's attacks deal additional magic damage. Nearby allies will gain this effect for 1.5 seconds and also deal magic damage
- Active: Ivern grows a patch of Brush and reveals it for 5 seconds. The Brush persists until Ivern's team loses vision within it or up to 60
E - Triggerseed
- Ivern grants a Shield to an ally champion. After 2 seconds it bursts dealing magic damage and slowing enemies by 50% for 2 seconds
- If Triggerseed detonates and no enemy champions are hit, the ally will be shielded for 2 seconds
R - Daisy!
- Ivern summons his sentinel friend Daisy to leap into the fray for 60 seconds dealing magic damage, and knocking up enemies hit for 0.75 on arrival
- Daisy! can also be cast on targets rooted by Rootcaller at any range. Over the next 60 seconds, Daisy! can be recast to instructing Daisy to attack or move
- Daisy, Slam! Daisy's 3rd consecutive attack on the same champion or epic monster will launch a shockwave, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit as well as stunning and knocking them up for 0.75 seconds. This effect can only occur once every 3 seconds and begins on cooldown
Riot tried to give Ivern some new capabilities to also support ranged champions. While giving him a secondary role was something Riot wanted to look into, they did explain that he is going to continue to be mainly a jungler and that this won't change in the future.
These are rather tiny updates to his kit, so we're going to have to see how the balance team makes adjustments to it before it goes onto the live servers.
