More and more information has trickled in regarding the newest League of Legends champion. K'Sante is going to be the top lane champion for 2022 and he looks incredible and he's already been confirmed to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community by his voice actor.

But we're not here to marvel at his chiselled large chest and those strong arms. No, instead we're here to check out K'Sante's abilities in League of Legends. What can this top laner even do and should you be playing this champion, or will he be as forgettable as Rell was after her release? Well, we will let you be the judge of that after checking out his abilities.

K'Sante Abilities Rundown - What You Need to Know

K'Sante is a very unique champion. He's got two forms which you can use when playing him and choosing when to utilize which form is going to be key when playing him. He's not your usual 'transforming' champion like Nidalee or Jayce, but he could fall into that category. But, what do we even mean by transforming, right?

Well let's check out his abilities first so we can discuss K'Sante a bit more.

K'Sante AbilitiesDescription
P - Dauntless Instinct
  • K'Sante's damaging abilities mark enemies hit for a short duration. Attacking a marked enemy consumes the mark to deal damage plus max health physical damage
  • All Out: Attacking a marked enemy instead deals phyiscal damage and additional max health true damage
Q - Ntofo Strikes
  • K'Sante slams his weapon dealing phyiscal damage in a small area around him and briefly Slowing targets hit. If an enemy is hit, K'Sante gains a stack for a short duration. At 2 stacks, K'Sante instead fires a shockwave that Pulls enemies
  • All Out: This ability's cooldown is reduced and no longer slows targets hit
W - Path Maker
  • Begin Charging: K'Sante raises his weapons defensively for a short duration, becoming Unstoppable, and reducting incoming damage
  • Release: K'Sante rams forward, dealing a percentage of max health physical damage, Knocking Back, and Stunning enemies he passes through for a short duration based on charge time
  • All Out: This ability's cooldown is refreshed, the damage reduction is increased, it deals an additional amount of physical damage based on charge time, and the charge and dash speed are doubled
E - Footwork
  • K'Sante dashes, gaining a shield for a short duration. If dashing to an ally, the distance is significantly increased and they are also Shielded. Other spells can be cast during this ability
  • All Out: THis ability 's dash speed is increased. Dashing to a targeted location has increased range and can go over walls
R - All Out
  • K'Sante shatters his tonfas, dealing physical damage and Kicking Back an enemy champion. Enemies that hit a wall will take a greater amount of physical damage, are Knocked Back over the wall, and are briefly Stunned. K'Sante then dashes after the enemy and goes All Out for an extended duration.
  • All Out: K'Sante loses a percentage of max health, bonus armor and bonus magic resistance. K'Sante gains attack damage, omnivamp and transforms his abilities

With his ultimate, K'Sante is able to switch between his usual tank form into that of a bruiser/fighter which makes him a unique champion unlike any we've seen before. Until you've got the ultimate you're going to play the match like any other normal tank, but then once you've got level 6 you can go all-in thanks to the change to bruiser.

Overall, we think that K'Sante is going to be a difficult champion to master, but will be very satisfying to play thanks to the varying playstyles you can use him for. If your team needs a tank during a fight, then you don't use your ultimate. If you know you can win an engage, pop your ultimate and go all out.

New LoL Champion K'Sante: High Difficulty High Reward

Looking through K'Sante's abilities we can already tell that this champion won't be the easiest to pick up. With his ultimate knocking opponents further back if you kick them back into a wall, we think that positioning is going to be a key part of this champion. You'll also have to have enough game sense to know when to utilize it without dying.

According to Riot he's also going to be a champion that will want a lot of gold and items to truly pop off, hence why he will likely be played mostly in the top lane, while also having a chance to be flexed into the mid lane. So you're going to want to get as much gold as quickly as possible to earn those items and get ahead.

With his kit he's also got multiple dashes with which he can gap close and then use his Q to bully out opponents. The Q will be the key ability that you will spam. It will likely have a short cooldown, so players can utilize it and gain the stacks for the extra damage.

On the other hand, the W is going to be his main defensive ability. He will be able to block an opponent's attack, almost like Yasuo with his Windwall, which we all know is one of the best abilities in the game. With his E he's also able to dash out of any sticky situation and even gains a shield.

While most of his kit is easy to understand, playing around the ultimate will be the key to truly unlocking K'Sante and all the potential he's got. So go test him out once he lands on the PBE Server and good luck with this insane new top lane champion.
