Two champions we have seen more than enough of are getting nerfed in LoL Patch 13.11 along with some of the most overpowered items in the game right now. While the item update from LoL Patch 13.10 might have hurt Jinx a bit, it's definitely helped Aphelios rise in the bot lane tierlist

Now, after a month of pure Aphelios and Jinx action in pro, Riot have decided enough is enough and put in some nerfs for these champions, in hopes of giving other bot laners some time to shine.

LoL Patch 13.11 Will Feature Nerfs For Two Prominent MSI Picks

Aphelios vs Jinx. It was the most-seen match up at the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational. If one team picked Jinx the other would play Aphelios or vice versa. These were the most played bot laners, with a combined 89 games at the tournament.

  • Jinx was one of the main chracaters in Arcane. If you enjoyed the show then you could pick up an Arcane movie poster for your room!

Now, Riot is looking to curb some of their power. Jinx will have her attack speed growth decreased. In the late game, whenever Jinx got excited she popped off, especially in the hands of players like Elk and Ruler who were just insane with the champion.

Aphelios on the other hand will be receiving a damage nerf to his passive in LoL Patch 13.11. While Aphelios did have a low win rate of 43% at MSI 2023, his kit has enough variety for him to be one of the most important champions at the tournament.

Some players really dislike the nerfs to Jinx and feel like Riot is killing her with this nerf. Riot is focusing on giving bot laners more attack damage and trying to steer them away from merely being attack speed machines, hence why Riot likely went this route with the nerfs for Jinx.

Aphelios' damage nerfs don't seem to align with these beliefs, but he's made it out of the F-tier in the bot lane for Patch 13.10, and we can't have him be playable in solo queue, since that just means he's broken in pro play, so it's time to nerf him as well.

Overall, these two prominent picks will likely fall off in prio, both in solo queue and pro play, so I gues... it's Kog'Maw season, eh?
