Naafiri - Newest LoL Champion's Abilities Explained
Naafiri is the new League of Legends champion on Summoner's Rift. She is the first female Darkin that isn't part of the Legends of Runeterra expansion and some even believe that she could somehow be related to Varus and even be his sister.
With her release just weeks away, Riot have finally revealed what her kit does. One thing we've known for a while is that she will be an assassin and should be easy to play. Did Riot succeed in creating an easy to play assassin?
Naafiri: Abilities & Reasoning Behind Naafiri
With Naafiri, Riot wanted to create an easy to play assassin. While most assassin's have high skill ceilings, there aren't many that are easy to play even as a newer player. Insane combos make up a lot of this subclass, but Naafiri should be different, with her abilities simple and quick to understand.

What Riot wanted to achieve was to create a champion with whom players could focus on the macro aspect of the game, rather than focus on landing every single combo. So, these are her abilities and how they'll play.
Naafiri's Abilities In League of Legends
Passive - We Are More
- Naafiri spawns Packmates that attack the targets of her attacks and abilities.
You're going to want to play around her packmates as much as possible, since they'll be doing a lot of the work for you. You just have to know when to call them back and how to properly use them.

Q - Darkin Daggers
- Naafiri hurls up to two daggers, each inflicting bleed, or each inflicting bonus damage if the target is already bleeding.
- Packmates leap to attack champions hit by this skill.
This is an easy ability which will cause her packmates to jump on the first target hit. The ability also applies bleed. If an enemy is already affected by bleed it'll deal even more damage.
W - Hounds’ Pursuit
- Naafiri and her Packmates dash at an enemy, colliding with the first champion hit and dealing damage.
Now we get into the interesting part of her kit. With this ability Naafiri can dash huge distances to reach her target, with her packmates following her to also deal damage.

E - Eviscerate
- Naafiri dashes and damages enemies in an area, recalling and healing her Packmates to full.
If you need to get away and heal your packmates, then this is the ability you'll want to use. Of course, it can also be an enagge tool if you want it to be.

R - The Call of the Pack
- Naafiri empowers her pack and spawns additional Packmates, gaining a burst of speed and vision and a shield when she attacks a champion.
- On first champion takedown, all effects are refreshed.
Naafiri gains vision and speed with this ability and her hounds multiply. Sounds broken? The extra stats also refresh when she gets a takedown.
Overall, Naafiri is going to be a very unique and fun bot lane champion with a lot of mobility. She will be squishy since she is an assassin, but she will be a beginner-friendly mid laner. Who is going to try her out ont he PBE when she releases?
