Please Fix Teemo's Lore

Teemo is a character we hear a lot about. He's awful on the rift and his laugh is so annoying. Through out-of-game media like videos we also learn a lot about the character and through small tidbits in Legends of Runeterra as well. 

So why doesn't he seem to have any actual lore when we check out the League of Legends universe page? It's about time we fix this and give one of the most iconic champions in League of Legends the recognition he deserves. 

What is Teemo's Lore?

Teemo's lore is extremely short and by short we mean two paragraphs. Basically the two paragraphs make Teemo out to be a silent killer with a double personality the moment he's out in the field, defending Bandle City from evil. We learn that while Teemo has a warm personality, his mind switches off completely when he is tasked with a solo scouting mission. 

We learn that Teemo become highly efficient during his missions and that he even became a part of Bandle City's most distinguished Special Forces unit. He is tasked to keep the city from harm and he defends it with his life, even going as far as to make his own poison the keep Bandle City safe. 

Teemo and Tristana Friendship

The key information we get from those two paragraphs of lore is that Teemo and Tristana, who are both part of the Special Forces unit are friends. She is the only other Yordle mentioned in the lore. It now makes sense why Tristana and Teemo have Firecracker skins together, eh? 

Does Teemo Have a Color Story? 

Teemo doesn't even have a color story either. There is nothing but two sad little paragraphs which describe an emotionally stunted Yordle who is part of the special forces unit of Bandle City. There is nothing at all which gives Teemo more substance other than being the literal devil on Summoner's Rift. 

Does his lore even make sense with the character Riot has established over the last few years? Not at all. In cinematics, like the one which introduced Yordles and Bandle City to Legends of Runeterra, Teemo is a completely different character from how his lore describes him... thought that could always be his two-faced identity so we cannot fully judge there. 

Seriously, there is so much we can do with Teemo and his lore to give him more depth. Maybe there is a reason as to why he shuts off and becomes a completely different Yordle when fighting and on a mission. Maybe his friendship comes between Tristana and Rumble... I mean a rom-com Teemo color story would be pretty interesting, right? 

Seriously Riot, there are so many things you could do with Teemo to give him some better lore and an actual color story. This is one of the most well-known characters in your entire franchise and this is how you treat him? Kind of sad, eh?
