League Worlds 2021: Patch & Time and Locations
Since last year's League of Legends World Championship had to be played in a bubble setting in Shanghai, the COVID situation did calm down a bit. Hence Riot decided to let China host the Worlds in 2021 once more. This time some audience will be allowed and the locations are set! We have all the information regarding the host cities, patch and date!
Which Patch Will The LoL Worlds 2021 Be Played on?
Riot has now announced that the next patches, Patch 11.17 and Patch 11.18, are primarily pro-focused tuning wise. At the same time, Patch 11.19 was announced as the Worlds 2021 Patch. So the championship of the year will be played on LoL Patch 11.19.
LoL Worlds 2021 Locations
The finals of the 2021 World Championship are going to be held in Shenzhen, China. Shenzen ist a metropolic citiy in the center of china, which connects hongkong to the middle of the nation. the Universiade Stadium, where the finals will be played, has space for up to 60.000 people.
What are the Worlds 2021 play dates?
The Worlds play-in and group stage will take place in early October. At the end of the month the teams will compete in their Bo5 Series in the quarter- and semi finals. The finals will be held on November 6th.
Worlds 2021 host cities
The biggest event of the year will take place at 5 different cities. The players can do some sight seeing while playing their hearts out. Kind of nice, we guess.
These are the 5 host cities:
- Shanghai
- Qingdao
- Wuhan,
- Chengdu
- Shenzhen (finals)
Which teams will make it to China in the end has not yet been decided. The playoffs are currently in full swing in all regions. Here you can find all the teams that have already qualified.
