MSI 2023 is heating up with the conclusion of the Play-In Stage. The top teams from all over the world have landed in London and started practicing and scrimming one another, ready to fight for the title of MSI 2023 champions.

Before any of the action can truly start though teams have to be pulled into the brackets for the tournament. This phase of the tournament will feature two-double elminiation brackets with the winners of either bracket side meeting in the finals, but for EU vs. NA fans... you might be disappointed.

MSI 2023: Bracket Separates NA and EU

If you were hoping to finally see C9 vs G2 or even Golden Guardians against MAD Lions, to determine the clear winner in the constant EU vs NA debate... well then you'll have to keep your fingers crossed and hope for a miracle at MSI 2023.

After Golden Guardians managed a dominant victory over the PCS representative, PSG Talon, Excel Esports top laner Andrei "Odoamne" Pascu took to the stage to pull the bracket representatives for the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational.

What no one expected was how cleanly he would separate the regions. One half of the bracket features the two LCK and LEC representatives, while the other side of the bracket will be the LPL and LCS teams. This means there won't be a chance for the LEC and LCS to meet other than the finals.

Now, we have seen miracles at MSI before, with 2019 being G2 Esports against Team Liquid, and we can huff that copium for a similar result, but with how dominant JDG, T1 and Gen.G have looked throughout their regions, it could be just that... hopium.

This could mean that fans will have to wait another half year for a true EU vs NA matchup at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship. We're going to have to wait and see though how these lower bracket runs go. Maybe we get a surprise final!
