If you haven't heard about any drama this off-season, you've been living under a rock. Just as things are heating up in other regions, it seems that Upset's teammates are finally ready to bury the hatchet following a devastating end to their 2021 season for all involved.

Fnatic Adam delivered a massive apology to upset yesterday in an attempt to close this ugly chapter of off-season drama.

What Happened with Upset at Worlds 2021?

Fnatic Upset has been the target of some major criticism following his mysterious disappearance during Worlds 2021. We covered this massive story back in October, but the drama has escalated since then.

Upset Worlds 2021 Recap

Just to recap for those who think TL:DR, Fnatic had a fairly promising Spring/Summer Split before qualifying to Worlds. The organization has performed remarkably well at Worlds in the past, so fans expectations were pretty high. However, everything went wrong just before Worlds 2021 Group Stage began...

This tweet is just one of many that Upset has sent out in response to the situation. Most fans were very sympathetic about the whole situation, barring a few nutcases (which there always will be in sports). However, the story took a shocking twist when Upset's teammates (most notably Bwipo and Adam) voiced their frustration about the whole situation.

Fnatic Adam/Bwipo Response

Obviously, this team worked very hard to qualify for worlds. All of this work only to see their dreams get crushed without their trusted teammate, and unfortunately they weren't given much information about Upset's absence.

The team struggled massively without one of their main roster players and unfortunately ended up bombing out of Groups much to the disappointment of fans. This pressure eventually led to both Bwipo and Adam airing out frustration on twitter regarding the whole thing.

Fnatic Adam/Upset Drama

Bwipo's response was fairly tame all things considered. However, things got ugly recently when Adam changed his in-game name to mock Upset regarding the whole situation. We still don't know the full details of why Upset left at Worlds, but many felt this was over the line.

Basically, you guys are all caught up now. There are quite a few twit-longers about this situation from the perspective of different players and staff, but you get the jist. All of that stuff is still up on their public twitter accounts, so you guys can read and make up your own opinions.

What did Adam say to Upset?

It is understandable for these players to be frustrated about how the  situation was handled, but personal attacks aren't cool. Especially given that Upset would probably prefer to put this all behind him and focus on next season. Luckily (or unluckily depending upon your preference), the drama is cooling down.

Adam apologizes to Upset

Finally, Adam went live on stream yesterday to apologize about everything. If you want to watch the whole thing, you can head to this link. Keep in mind, the whole long is around 11 minutes and pretty elaborate - so you might want to watch this with a snack.

Moving Forward (Upset/Adam in 2022)

It is understandable for these players to be frustrated about how the situation was handled, but personal attacks aren't cool. This rings especially true given that Upset would probably prefer to put this all behind him and focus on next season. We're glad to see all sides moving forward, albeit not without some error.

Fnatic still have yet to announce their new roster while retaining Upset, and Adam appears to be teamless as of now after leaving Fnatic. There is still plenty of time left in the off-season, but Adam's increasing anger would make sense if he couldn't find a team after an overall fantastic season of play with Fnatic.

We'd love to see both of these players competing at a high level again in the LEC next season, but only time will tell.
