MSI will use the beloved double-elimination format.

The first stage of MSI will be play ins. That means that the 8 teams will be divided into two groups. The winner of those groups and the winner of the losers bracket will move on into the Bracket Stage.

The Bracket Stage consists of those who have qualified through winning their regional Spring Split tournament and those who have moved up from the Play-In Stage. LCK has secured two Bracket Stage spots due to winning the League of Legends Worlds Championship in 2022.
