LoL Patch 14.9: All Buffs, Nerfs & Balance Changes
LoL Patch 14.9 is here and this patch already has some insane and meaningful changes in it, especially for fighters. So, let's go over all the changes Riot has added to the game.
LoL Patch 14.9 has some pretty big changes in store. Not only is Lee Sin finally getting his much-deserved Art and Sustainability Update, but there are some major adjustments for items as well.
Along with those changes we are also getting a long run of Arena, with a bunch of changes to the game mode as well. So let's just jump into all the changes this patch.
LoL Patch 14.9 Patch Notes: Lee Sin ASU
Riot has finally revealed the Art and Sustainability Update for Lee Sin. The champion is one of the oldest in the game and yet one of the most popular. His ASU is coming in Patch 14.9 and brings new splash arts and animations for his older skins.

Champion Nerfs
There are quite a few champion nerfs in this patch, with some OP champions like Ahri and Kassadin receiving nerfs, while the items that make them so strong, Milgnance, is not getting touched.

- P health damage reduced from 7% - 12% max HP to 7% - 10%
- Q health ratio reduced from 6% bonus HP to 5%
- W base damage reduced from 50 - 150 to 50 - 130

- Pickaxe and Longsword replaced by Caulfield's Warhammer in recipe
- Shield duration increased from 2.5 seconds to 3
- Passive lifesteal reduced from 12% to 8%
- Ability haste increased from 0 to 15
- MR reduced from 50 to 40
- AD increased from 65 to 70

- Long Sword added to recipe, price unchanged
- MR reduced from 35 to 30
Death's Dance
- Pickaxe added to recipe

LoL Patch 14.9 Patch Notes: The Return Of Arena
Arena is finally coming back and this time a lot longer than previously. Riot wants to test the longevity of the game mode with the upcoming release and will keep the mode up for multiple months. There have also been quite a few changes to the item system and the general game play. Instead of 2vs2vs2vs2 it is now a 16-man game mode.

In Patch 14.9 we will be getting new Empyrean skins for:

All of these skins are coming with the Empyrean MSI Event that will also have an Arena Game Mode Rerun.
