PBE Patch 12.10 Preview | Durability Changes

Patch Notes 11-05-2022 19:30
Dawnbringer Yone

We have all heard the news about the next League of Legends patch already. Damage will go down. This means elongated team fights are back, but Riot also doesn't want to overdo it and completely change the game so that we only see kills once players have two items.

So, they're buffing durability instead of nerfing damage... but is there really a difference or is just a more 'positive' way of phrasing things? Well, let's check out the exact changes, at least the ones we can name right off the bat. Sorry guys, we're not including 159 champions into the article.

Everything We Know About the Durability Update in Patch 12.10

First of all, let's go over the champions. There are 159 champions, and Riot has decided to just increase everyone's durability right across the board. This means, that in the patches following 12.10, a lot more changes to iron out the kinks will take place. But for this patch Riot has decided to increase

  • Base Health
  • Health per Level
  • Armor per Level
  • Magic Resist per Level

for every champion. This will make every champion more durable — hence the name durability update — and make fights last longer. Riot did explain in a dev post, that they still want burst champions to be able to burst others down, but that it would require their whole kit and not just one or two abilities.

When Is LoL Patch 12.10 Releasing?

Accoridng to the official League of Legends Patch plan, Patch 12.10 will be hitting the rift on May 25, 2022. This means you can get acquainted with these changes on the PBE server, if you have access, that is. But that isn't too hard.

Of course, we're also going to be getting some new High Noon skins in the next patch, as well as some Pride cosmetics like emotes and icons. But one thing we're still missing is our new jungler Bel'Veth... even if her abilities have been leaked already.
