It wasn't the best season for Finn and his Astralis teammates, as they finished second to last in the regular season and didn't qualify for the group stage. Finn begins with a note of thanks to his teammates in Astralis:
Before I say anything, I want to o give my utmost tanks and respect to JeongHoon, Bum (113), Lider, Dajor and Kobbe for everything this year.
He follows up with a review of his journey in 2023, which hasn't been easy for him, to say the least, "2023 has not been an easy year". Until November 2022 Finn was part of the LEC team Excel, this stint ended pretty unpleasantly for him though. Regarding the end of his time with the British org, Finn writes:
From finding out last minute via twitter while i was boarding my flight to bootcamo in Korea that XL was droppin me for the 2023 seasin until the present day-getting eliminated from LEC and any contention for a worlds spot on July the 3rd.
About his start time with Astralis, which wasn't easy for him, Finn shared the following:
After joining Astralis I realized my own ambitions and the organizations were conflicting, and that's completely okay. Nonetheless, I had a serious talk with the team after joining, trying to imprint the idea that this was our last chance, that we have to play and practice like there was no next yeah. It is no secret that we were not one of the favorites.
After a 0 and 5 start into the split, Finn describes it as a "miracle" that Astralis reached the top 6. For the Summer Split he had one goal in mind "Barely falling short in spring had me approaching Summer Split with the high hopes and a clear goal of winning LEC"
He further shared his impression of the following months, and ends the statement with a look into the future.
Nontheless my confidence has never been higher. From a gameplay standpoint and a communication standpoint I feel better than ever. Right now I am niot sure what the future holds, if theres one thing I learned in esports is that tomorriw is never a guarantee but neither a complete uncertainty.
So, it will be interesting to see how the professional career of Finn will continue. It's safe to say that he has the needed reputation in the scene to find a new home, if his time in Astralis is already over.
