Shunsuke "Evi" Murase is one of the most well-known faces in League of Legends thanks to his iconic thumbs up that he does at every single League of Legends World Championship and Mid-Season Invitational that he's been to in his career.

Now, he's going to be the first Japanese players to ever start in a major region thanks to him signing with Team Heretics for the 2023 LEC season. Who else will be joining Evi though?

LoL: Team Heretics Sign Veterans For 2023 LEC Season

Evi won't be the ony fan-favorite on the roster for the 2023 LEC season. He's going to have to compete with jungler Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski for the role of most popular player on the team. The former G2 jungler has found a new home and will be competing for the newly added Team Heretics in 2023.

Team Heretics is the newest team to compete in the LEC, having acquired the slot of Misfits Gaming. After a stellar performance in the LVP the team earned their spot in the LEC with a brand-new roster.

Team Heretics chose to form a brand-new roster for the LEC instead of taking over the 2022 Misfits roster. Though support player Mertai "Mesra" Sari will be starting for Team Heretics in 2023 alongside bot laner Jakob "Jackspektra" Gullvag Kepple.

The team is rounded out by the former Unicorns of Love mid-laner Lee "Ruby" Sol-min who has also spent some time in the PCS before. This looks to be a pretty strong roster with both young players, as well as veteran voices that can lead them.

This roster is still pending approval from the LEC, but will likely be the starting five for the team in 2023. Evi hast stated in a Tweet that he is already comfortable in Spain and with the team, though he is rather confused what the Pepe frog means, so he might have to brush up on his western meme knowledge.
