The League of Legends EUW server is down. Why though and how can you fix the problems so you can play some League of Legends again? Let's quickly go over what is happening and why.

You want to play some late-night League of Legends on the EUW LoL server, but cannot log on? Well, there is a reason for it. Riot have announced some server maintenance, which means that the EUW server will be down for the next few hours. Let's check out when you can play League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics again!

LoL Server Down: Maintenance on the EUW Server

The server maintenance will only be affecting players on the EUW server. So if you're in NA or in OCE, then you have nothing to worry about. On February 28, 2023 Riot announced some major server maintenance on the EUW server.

The server will be down for a couple of hours between 2:00 am GMT to 12:00 pm GMT (1 am CET to 11:00 am CET) on March 1, 2023. Riot's official EU account tweeted out this information for everyone to know.

League of Legends Won't Open: Can You Fix The Issue?

The server is down and you cannot log into League of Legends, so what do you do now? Unfortunately the only thing you can do is to be patient. The server maintenance should take around 10-hours, but thankfully they'll be done at night where most people will be sleeping.

If you're an insomniac, then how about you download Wild Rift and play some mobile League of Legends while you wait? Or you could look over the LoL PBE 13.5 notes to know what awaits you in the next League of Legends patch.

But the only real option is to be patient until the server is back online and then you can play both TFT and League of Legends to your heart's content once more.
