LFL Second Division player Nicolaiy got himself fired two hours after being called out for being sexist towards G2 Hel Player Caltys.

I think it is safe to say that toxicity is nothing new in League of Legends. However, when you decide to make LoL your job, reflecting on what you say to your teammates in a game might not be the dumbest of ideas.

After making some sexist remarks towards G2 Hel's ADC Maya "Caltys" Henckel, Jungler Nicolaiy has gotten himself fired from his now-former team, MS Company. It all started when Caltys posted a tweet with several screenshots from her recent SoloQ game, where she was teamed up with Nikolaiy. Then, the second-division LFL player started making comments towards Caltys, saying her being a girl explains her bad playstyle, etc.

Caltys shared her tweet with the caption, "yes it turns out even "proplayers" can be sexist." She also tagged both the player and his team, MS Company, in the tweet.

Caltys' Tweet received massive attention and currently has over 2.8 million views. At first, Nicolaiy was not willing to apologize and posted several tweets doubling down on his actions.

It did not take long for MS Company to react, and only two hours after Caltys posted the tweet, MS Company shared a statement, saying they would remove the jungler from their team effective immediately. Even Nicolaiy's own teammate, Kuroneel, called the jungler out for his recent behavior.

MS Company gained some positive attention from big names in the LoL scene, like LEC Wooloo, after responding so quickly to the issue at hand. Nicolaiy did decide to write a public apology to G2 Caltys and MS Company. However, the tweet was quickly removed as several people called it insincere. Apparently, Nikolay had tweeted the apology while still liking tweets about his sexist in-game comments being justifiable.  It now seems like Nicolaiy has deleted his Twitter account after the massive backlash.

Maya "Caltys" Henckel is the bot laner of G2 Hel and has gotten quite some attention recently after she won the 2022 Rising Stars together with her team back in November last year.
