LoL Fans Demand Nidalee ASU After Seeing Her In LoR
Nidalee is one of the oldest League of Legends champions, released all the way back in 2009. And, honestly, both her in-game models as well as her splash art and overall design make that heavily apparent.
However, Legends of Runeterra, have recently shown Nidalee in a new light. That has prompted the fans into pushing for a Nidalee ASU, after seeing just how amazing she looks in LoR.
LoR - New Nidalee Looks Amazing
Nidalee is the archetypical Amazonian type of character. She was created in the early days of League of Legends and is quite obviously a product of her time.
The time in question we refer to was when League of Legends was a far grittier-looking game than it is today. It had blood spilling and was tuned toward dark fantasy instead of the high fantasy it is today.
Thus, we have Nidalee. The core of her design is to be a shapeshifter, capable of turning into a cougar, who has lived in a jungle all of her life, making her an incredible huntress.
However, seeing Nidalee in-game, nothing would make you think that. There is nothing magical about either of her two forms, with both seeming a bit off and looking as if they couldn't catch a rabbit if it came up to them.
Once again, it was a good design back in 2009. In 2023, however, it is anything but, and she should be the next ASU just after Teemo and Lee Sin.
The Legends of Runeterra design, however, is incredible. It shows Nidalee's human form as a lithe huntress, clothed in magical-looking furs, with a spear made of strange materials, with a pair of cougar ears on her head, signifying her shapeshifter abilities.
On the other hand, her cougar form is even better. She does not look like the run-of-the-mill cougar you can find on Earth. Instead, her animal form is covered in metal, showing, perhaps, her human heritage, and looks far more dangerous.

All in all, both of the forms portray Nidalee as a larger-than-life figure of the Ixtal jungles. And seeing as she is a guardian of the forests against humans who wish to cut use them for raw materials, a leader of her pack, and a mentor to Neeko, a larger-than-life figure she certainly is.
