LoL: Patch 14.8 - All Changes On The Live Server
Patch 14.8 is upon us and with it the final changes before MSI. The tournament will be played on this patch, so Riot tried to make it as interesting as possible!
Patch 14.8 has arrived just before MSI, and Riot seems to be completely shaking up the entire meta. They are even buffing champions that don't even buffs just to make them more attractive for the tournament. Who is excited about another Sylas vs Akali Meta?
LoL Patch 14.8 Patch Notes: Champion Buffs
Akali
- Base Health increased from 570 to 600
Draven
- Q base damage increased from 40-60 to 45-65
Galio
- Base movement speed increased from 335 to 340
- Q cooldown reduced 12-7 seconds to 11-7
Graves
- Increased effect of Attack Speed from Items and Runes towards reload time by 35%
- Crit Damage Ratio per pellet increased from 40% to 45%
Hwei
- Passive AP Ratio increased from 30% to 35%
Jarvan IV
- Passive Current HP Damage increased from 6% to 7%
Jhin
- Passive Bonus Movespeed on Crit increased from 10% to 14%
- Q AD Ratio increased from 35-65% to 44-74%
- Q Base Damage from 45-145 to 44-144
Kai'Sa
- Q bonus AD Ratio per missile increased from 50% to 55%
LeBlanc
- Q Base Damage increased from 65-165 to 70-170
- W Cooldown decreased from 18-10 to 15–10 seconds
Olaf
- Q Monster Damage increased from 5-25 to 5-45
Ryze
- W Cooldown decreased from 13-9 to 11–9 seconds
- W slow increased from 35% to 50%
Sylas
- Q Monster Damage increased from 70% to 100%
Thresh
- Base Armor increased from 31 to 33
- Magic Resistance growth increased from 1.3 to 1.55

Azir
- HP Regen decreased from 5 to 3.5
- W base damage decreased from 50-118 to 50-110
Briar
- HP Growth per level decreased from 100 to 95
- Q Cast Range increased from 450 to 475
- W Attack speed decreased from 54-110% to 55-95%
Zac
- Base health regen reduced from 8 to 5
Zeri
- Base health reduced from 630 to 600

Mordekaiser
- Q Cooldown from 9-4 to 8-4
- E Damage reduced from 80-140 to 70-130
- R can no longer be cleansed
Skarner
- Mana growth reduced from 45 to 40
- Mana regen growth reduced from .45 to .6
- Q pick up cast time reduced from .5 seconds to .35
- Q duration increased from 3.5 seconds to 5
- Q base damage increased from 10-50 to 10-70
- Q bonus AD ratio increased from 40% to 60%
- Q mana cost reduced from 40-60 to 30-50
- W base damage reduced from 60-180 to 50-150
- W mana cost increased from 50-70 to 60-80
- E mana cost increased from 50-70 to 70-90
LoL Patch 14.8 Patch Notes: System Changes
Void Grubs
- First Spawn time increased from 5 to 6 minutes
- damage per second per stack increased from 6 to 8 for melee
- damage per second per stack increased from 3 to 4 for ranged
- stacks to spawn one void mite reduced to 4 (2 void mites unchanged)
Baron Nashor
- Multiple Baron Abilities have been buffed
Rift Herald
- spawns facing south-west instead of south-east
Quickplay Changes
Riot has heard the various feedback towards Quickplay and have decided to give us a few quality of life changes together with a bunch of bug fixes. In the future it should be easier to select roles and summoner spells and Riot will even give you the right Summoner Spells for the role you queued.
Also, remakes don't count towards the Ranked Restriction anymore, so the toxic people will now have to play out games instead of just hostaging the round.
