Riot Will Increase RP Cost
Riot is hiking up prices. Not only will skins be more expensive in the future, but also our TFT content and our mythic content as well, because it's all connected and it's all getting more pricey in the current day and age. So, what exactly is Riot doing?
Due to inflation Riot has decided to change the cost of RP across the board. This is something usually only done in certain regions after Riot reviews the prices in regions, but with the current state the global economy is in, almost everyone is in for a (unwanted) treat.
Price Increases Across the Board by Riot Games
RP is going to cost more in almost every single region. The only regions that seem to be getting a pass are the Garena regions which is Oceania and Southeast Asia. Tencent regions are also getting some changes but according to a blog post by Riot these will be added differently to account for structure differences in pricing.
When Will the Price Changes Come Into Effect?
These changes will hit the League of Legends client on August 19, 2022. So, make sure that you get some RP before then. According to Riot they will be giving double 'bonus RP' and 'bonus TFT coins' on all RP and TFT coin purchases from July 14 to 31, 2022.
