How long have we been preaching about the upcoming Star Guardian skins already? For far too long, but the wait is finally over and Riot has revealed the first batch of Star Guardian skins already. Multiple champions have joined the fight against evil, but what is this evil exactly?

Star Guardians is one of the most popular skin lines in League of Legends. Probably because it has us 90s kids nostalgic for easier times when we came home from school to sit down and watch some Cardcaptor Sakura or Sailor Moon, eh? Well, Riot has done it again, bringing that nostalgic feeling back with new skins in the Star Guardian series.

Which Champions Will Get Star Guardian Skins?

There are five champions that will be getting new Star Guardian skins. We do predict there to be more champions getting Star Guardian skins and no, we're not just saying that because of the leaks. Riot has also revealed some icons on the PBE for other champions dressed as Star Guardians, so it's pretty obvious that champions like Taliyah will also be getting skins at a later date – probably the next patch.

But for this round, we'll have five champions with six skins released by Riot Games.

  • Star Guardian Kai'Sa
  • Star Nemesis Fiddlesticks
  • Star Guardian Ekko

Which Champions Are Already Part of the Star Guardians Universe?

The Star Guardian universe is huge, with multiple champions getting skins. Not only that, but some champions have three different skins in this universe. Seriously, Soraka has three Star Guardian skins, but are we even mad? As an OG Soraka main, I am not. But who else has a Star Guardian skin?

How Much Will the Star Guardian Skins Cost?

The Kai'Sa skin is going to be a legendary skin, which means it'll be a bit more expensive at 1820 RP. The rest of the bunch is going to be 1350 RP, while the prestige skin for Ekko should cost around 125 Mythic Essence in the Mythic Shop which is available in your loot section of your League of Legends client. Have you saved up enough ME for the Ekko skin?

Will There Be A Star Guardian Event?

Riot will also feature a Star Guardian event this year. Whether it's a big event like in 2017 or just in-game missions and in-client missions where players can gain points and through that reach milestones has not been revealed by Riot yet. But, through Twitter it seems that the events team has been working on this event for over a year, so we should be expecting something pretty big. Fingers crossed.

When Will the Star Guardian Skins Be Released?

The new Star Guardian skins are going to be released in League of Legends Patch 12.13, which should come out on July 13, 2022. Along with the Star Guardian skins we're also going to be getting a brand-new champion, Nilah who is going to destroy us in the bot lane.

With the release of Bel'Veth and now Nilah, it seems that Riot has released all champions they planned for 2022. Not much is known about the upcoming top lane tank champion yet, so it might still be a while until we see them on the rift.
