Rogue and Fnatic continue their undefeated streak after wins on Saturday. Team Vitality joins them for a 2:0 week after defeating G2 Esports and is now at 2:3, just one win behind the third place teams.

Day two of the LEC week had the two undefeated teams so far - Fnatic and Rogue - try to make get a 5:0 start. In Fnatic's case, their opponent would be one of the shared third place teams, Misfits Gaming. However, the match of the week featured the team everyone was hyped for - and that many people turned on after their 0:3 week - Team Vitality as they took on G2 Esports, giving us yet another of the LEC midlane classics: Luka "Perkz" Perković vs Rasmus "caPs" Winther.

Excel Defeats SK

Excel Esports got a good start in their opening match against SK Gaming - despite losing first blood their good skirmishing gave them several kills and 20 minutes in, Patrik "Patrik" Jírů locked a triple kill on Aphelios. To SK's credit, they managed to come back with several clutch fights, kept their opponents from taking an early dragon soul and punished them for going for the Baron, getting three kills for the objective. In the end, it was not enough: Excel found two kills 36 minutes in and launched a game-winning push.

MAD Sweat It against Astralis

MAD Lions were heavy favorites in their game against Astralis, but the underdogs actually came out strong with several successful early fights. The teams were long neck and neck and Astralis even got an ace and a Baron. However, as the the fights went on İrfan Berk "Armut" Tükek’s Aatrox became too much to handle in teamfights. The decisive fights 31 minutes in, he and William "UNF0RGIVEN" Nieminen cleaned up and MAD went for the Nexus.

Rogue Stomps BDS

Rogue, meanwhile, showed no such weaknesses against Team BDS, picking pushing lanes and pushing ahead after an extended botlane fight. Things didn't get much better for BDS as the teamfights started as Rogue got a near ace 18 minutes in. The best chance for the underdogs came five minutes later as they got  a good engage, but a great Nami ultimate protected the backline and Rogue's item advantage won them the fight and the chemtech soul. With this buff and a big gold lead, Rogue were unstoppable and kept their perfect match record for the split.

Fnatic Stay Tied for First

The fourth game of the day featured the LEC's second undefeated team as they joint third place Misfits Gaming. The two teams were close early on, but 12 minutes in Fnatic punished Misfits' mispositioning to get four kills and a big lead. The challengers were caught off-guard again eight minutes later, giving Fnatic a free Baron, and they ended the game before the purple buff had time to expire.

Vitality Is on Fire

The much-awaited showdown between G2 Esports and Team Vitality ended the day. For the second time, we saw the Vitality we did not see in week 1 - and they absolutely bodied G2 in the early game, getting three kills in the opening five minutes and a 2.5K gold lead at ten. Vitality showed both aggression and map awareness as they took over the map. G2 looked in vain for picks and suffered their second loss of the split.
