LNG Mid laner Kim “Doinb” Tae-Sang has gotten in hot water for a leak once more just before the LPL season started.

The LPL kicked off today with a match between IG and Weibo Gaming, but the drama around the Chinese league had already started. The LPL had kept its cards close to its chest when it came to details about the season, but it turns out they were leaked. The culprit, as several times before, was LNG mid laner Doinb, who recently revealed on his stream he was fined 50,000 RMB (approximately $7500) for that.

This isn’t the first time the 2019 Worlds champion has gotten in trouble for revealing information before the LPL allowed it. He was fined 60,000 RMB (approximately $9,000) in May, and according to what he said on his stream (translated by HUPU Esports) had paid “hundreds of thousands of RMB” for various leaks since 2019. On his stream, he has divulged schedule or transfer details multiple times in the past, as well as providing various information about the game. While that makes his stream quite popular, it has landed him in hot water a few times before - and had its impact on his bank account as well.

While this behavior goes against the strict regulations the LPL and many Chinese teams have against disclosing information, Doinb doesn’t seem to be too worried. We can only surmise that his salary - and ample stream viewership - is enough that he can afford the occasional few thousand bucks.
