One Of The First Female LoL-Pros Could Go To Worlds
Professional female League of Legends players are still a rarity. But now, there could be a new star in the LoL landscape, who gives hope to diversify the scene.
A First For Women: Shakespeare debuts for FENNEL
Miyu Otomo, better known under her gamertag "Shakespeare" made history, by competing in the LJL, the professional League of Legends league in Japan. The 20-year-old support player filled in for Fennels regular support Ian "Corporal" Pearse and became the first female pro to play in the LJL.

With Shakespeare in the lineup, FENNEL won their first series with 2 wins against Crest Gaming Act and lead the LJL after the first game day. Just like all support players at the moment, Shakespeare played Yuumi and Lulu and showed a promising performance.
Shakespeare is part of the FENNEL ACADEMY roster, and was registered as a substitute player in February. If she's able to stay as a part of the main roster, Shakespeare has the chance to qualify for the World Championship. Needlessly to say, she would be the first female pro to do so.
