LoL: Liiv Sanbox Make History and Sign First Woman in Korean LoL Esports
Last year Liiv Sanbox was one of the favorites to make it to the 2022 League of Legends World Championship thanks to the stand-out performance by their bot laner Lee "Prince" Chae-hwan. This year, the team is making some more strides by signing the first female player in Korean LoL history.
Who is DangMoo and what can we expect from her? Will we see her in the LCK? Let's go over what we know.
Liiv Sanbox Sign DangMoo for 2023
Liiv Sanbox will be the first team to field a woman in professional Korean League of Legends. On December 29, 2022 the team announced the signing of Jeon "DangMoo" Su-jin to their CL roster. This means that she will be playing for Liiv Sanbox' Challenger team.
Thankfully, if you want to watch her and see whether she has what it takes to make it to the LCK, there are streams of the Challengers league available for you to watch. She is also pretty famous in Korea as a streamer and has a pretty decent YouTube following as well.
According to Kevin Kim of KorizonEsports, DangMoo is a well-known support who excels at playing utility picks like Lulu.
The announcement on Twitter was met with a lot of praise and excitement for the young woman who will be making her debut during the 2023 LCK CL season. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for more inclusion in the esports scene.
Here are DangMoo's Streams:
The 2023 LCK Challengers will kick off at the end of January and last until March when the playoffs begin. Last year, Liiv Sanbox was in the middle of the pack, so will these changes to their roster enable the team to make it to the LCK CL playoffs in 2023?
