The 2022 Demacia Cup has ended with a victory for Bilibili Gaming, but some LPL squads are still finishing up their final roster moves ahead of the 2023 LPL season. One of those teams had been LNG who previously fielded Kim "DoinB" Tae-sang in the mid lane.

The 2023 is going to look much different for LNG Esports with another former League of Legends World Champion at the helm. After six years with EDG, Scout will be moving on to a new LPL squad.

LoL: LNG Esports announce 2023 LPL Roster

LNG has a very young roster going into the 2023 season. They've rounded out the team with some veteran experience in the mid lane though. Earlier this off-season the teams former mid laner and well-known streamer DoinB decided to take a break from professional League of Legends.

With a hole in the mid lane LNG quickly found someone to replace the 2019 League of Legends World Champion and found none other than Lee "Scout" Ye-chan who had spent the last six years with Edward Gaming, even winning the 2021 League of Legends World Championship.

On Weibo, a Chinese social media platform Scout had this to say about his time on EDG:

Thanks for the trust from LNG. I will be thankful and always remember the 7 years at EDG. Hope everyone has a brighter future, fighting

Scout has spent some time in the LCK as well before moving to China to play in the LPL. He started off on SKT T1 playing under Faker and many still see him as Faker's understudy. He has won multiple LPL MVP titles. He's also one of the few players with over 2,000 kills in the LPL.

Scout will join former Griffin jungler Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong who has been a part of the LNG Esports ecosystem since 2020.  LNG have not completed their roster for the 2023 season just yet, but will have a young and talented team for 2023.
