Two superstars have joined the roster of JD Gaming ahead of the 2023 LPL season. One of the most sought after free agents managed to sign with the Chinese org, and another insanely well-known and beloved mid laner as well.

The 2023 JDG roster looks scary with the talent in the top and bot lane, but will they be able to mesh well or will the conflicting needs to be the carry cause the team to suffer?

LoL: Two Superstars Join JDG for 2023 LPL Season

We have seen it multiple times. A team signs insanely talented individuals and then still manages to fail out of Worlds, or even their own league's playoffs. Will this happen to JDG though after signing two insanely popular and well known players.

In the mid lane none other than former Zhuo "knight" Ding, who has led Top Esports the last few years has signed with JDG. From playing against JD Gaming on multiple occasion to now joining them, it almost feels like he's switched sides, right?

But that isn't the only big name that will be playing for JD Gaming in 2023. At the end of the 2022 season Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk, who has played on Gen.G (formerly known as Samsung) his entire career decided to enter free agency. He's now found a new home in China, playing for JDG next year.

Ruler has won the League of Legends World Championship before back in 2017, taken the LCK title home as well, but he will want to now take home the LPL trophy and win it all in a new region and with a new team.

Top laner 369 is still under contract until the end of 2023 and support Missing until 2024. Kanavi has also re-signed completing the team for upcoming LPL season. With so many superstars in one team, will they be able to take the trophy once more?
