Cloud9 recently won the 2023 LCS Spring Split and secured their spot at the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational group phase, but now one of the players is making headlines for accidentally leaking some information about the 2024 LCS Season.

Cloud9 bot laner Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol, had a slip up during a recent stream where he revealed some new plans for the 2024 LCS season and the import rule. After record-low viewership, it seems that the LCS is getting desperate.

LoL Player Berserker Reveals LCS Plans

Currently, in the LCS teams can be comprised of two import players, and three local players. With the LCO, the Oceania league, having been dissolved back in 2020, letting, players from the region play in NA without taking up an import slot, more changes are ahead.

On his personal stream Berserker let it slip that the LCS is looking to update its import rules. It seems that in 2024 teams will be able to field a team with three imports.

Riot said next year can be three Koreans or three Chinese. I’m not sure about that, but I heard about it.

While the LCS has not confirmed this information yet, it could mean that teams will be able to go shopping for some more players. The LCS is already known for the amount of foreigners in their league.
