LoL Worlds 2022: How Pick'Em Works!
The time has come. From today on, you can participate in Pick'Em for Worlds 2022 again! The Riot Games prediction game for the League of Legends World Championship is now live, and we are gonna explain how you can participate and what you need to know.
Don't worry, you don't have to wager any money in Pick'Em, it's all about honor at the end of the day. However, you can still win a few cool things for your League of Legends account if you give good tips. You will soon find out exactly what is at stake for you. First, a small overview!
What's Pick'Em?
Pick 'Em is, quite simply, Riot's official League of Legends World Championship prediction game. It has also taken place in recent years and for many fans, it is an integral part of the celebrations around the Worlds. The main component is betting on the team placements over the course of the tournament.
In the first phase, you have to guess the final results of the group stage. In the second phase, you have to guess the outcome of the knockout round and the final winning team of Worlds 2022. There are also other opportunities to collect bonus points. Which champion has the highest ban rate? Which player has the highest KDA? You can bet on all of this!
New this year: You can even bet on the outcome of the play-in phase! You're sure about which teams will grab the final spots at Worlds? Then take the points with you!
How To Participate In Pick'Em?
Simply go to Lolesports website. The only thing you need is a Riot account – makes sense, right? You log in, and you're immediately on the Pick'Em page where you can place your picks. For now, the crystal ball picks are already live! You have until Thursday, September 29, 2022 to make your predictions before Worlds 2022 begins.

Pick'Em Point System and Prizes
A special novelty this year is the crystal ball picks. You can bet on twenty different questions about champions, players and teams before Worlds and at the end, it will be evaluated how many points you have gotten with correct crystal ball picks.
Apart from that, you get 2 points for each team that you bet on correctly in the group, 2 extra points for a complete correct order in a group, 3 extra points if you guessed the order of the teams that advance correctly. A total of 16 points can be earned per group.
In the KO round, you get 5 points for a correct guess in a Quarterfinal, 10 for the Semifinals and a correct guess for the Worlds Finals is worth 20 points.
Then there is the so-called coin. It will automatically bet on results that you have not filled out, purely at random. It is important to know, however, that the currently active crystal ball picks cannot be removed from the coin.
Prizes For Pick'Em 2022
A distinction is made here between the prizes for simply taking part and then there are different tiers in which you are classified, depending on how well you did compared to the rest.

No More Perfect Pick'Em
This year's League of Legends World Championship has been quite exciting with underdog runs like no other. DRX has been the team that most have counted out over-and-over but they just won't go down without a fight and have clawed their way into the League of Legends World Championship finals.
With the finals set to be between T1 and DRX – a literal David vs. Goliath match – there is also not a single perfect Pick'Em left at the 2022 League of Legends World Championship. Ahead of the semi-finals eight people still had perfect Pick'Ems but all eight of those people chose T1 and Gen.G to face off... well Gen.G choked and DRX have marched into the finals destroying all perfect Pick'Ems of 2022.
