Is Skarner Still Better In The Top Lane After Patch 14.7 Hotfix?
The new Skarner has just come out but many Junglers arent too happy with his state. He found a great new home in the top lane but Riot has already shared their plans for his future.
Skarner has released with Patch 14.7. While his first stats are expectedly bad he shows a high mastery curve which means that his win rate will definitely balance out.
Players like Agurin who have reached Rank 1 on the Korean Ladder are not really dissapointed, but he claims that the champion is not really suited for the jungle and that he is a good top laner.
Riot has taken a note of the top lane Skarner trend and since this is not what they want for the champion they have already made some changes.
Skarner Belongs In The Jungle
Riot Phroxzon has gone to Twitter and explained that they want to move Skarner to the Jungle. They are buffing his jungle capabilities and nerfing his top lane stats. Riot is also aware that despite his low winrates he is doing fine right now.
With this micro patch they want to address his role power levels with more changes towards top lane coming in patch 14.8.
They are nerfing his mana growth and W mana cost while also buffing his monster damage and e cooldown.
What do you think? Should Skarner only be played in the jungle? I kind off like the top lane viability, as it just makes the champion more interesting.
