Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski, affectionately known as "The First Blood King," is a familiar name to everyone who has been following the LEC or its predecessor, the EU LCS. He has been an integral part of the European Esport scene since 2014, securing numerous titles and establishing an illustrious career.
Currently, the legendary jungler is contemplating retirement, as he openly shared in a post-game interview. After Team Heretics' elimination by Fnatic in the first round of the LEC playoffs, it is certain that we won't witness him in the final or at Worlds this year, regardless of the choice he makes regarding his future career.
I don't really know what I want to do right now. I didn't plan on losing, so I didn't plan my future. I don't know how much I have left. I'm not sure if I'm going to be competing next year or not. I have a lot of time to reflect, and I'm just glad that I was able to help Heretics and my teammates, and hopefully they think good of me.
His individual performance is definitely not a reason for retirement, as Jankos proved to be one of the top Junglers in the LEC this season. Numerous community members are eager to witness Jankos in action for a few more seasons in the League.
Throughout his nearly 10-year-long LoL career, Jankos has been a part of teams like ROCCAT, boasting a full Polish lineup, as well as H2K and G2 Esports, achieving multiple titles with the latter. Following his five-year tenure with G2, Jankos made the move to Team Heretics and has been an essential player for the organization since December 2022.
