The next League of Legends patch is patch 13.13, which will bring a slew of nerfs for the champions that are dominating the meta currently, and are already live on the PBE. However, RIot devs like to tease us about which direction League will be taking next.

After all, no single patch can solve all issues, and since the rework of ADC items, the game has been revolving around them pretty heavily. So, what changes does Riot have in store for League, in patch 13.14?

LoL Patch 13.14 - Balancing ADCs by Buffing Other Roles

Ever since patch 13.10, and the reworking of ADC mythic items, by adding a few new ones to the mix, the role has been askew compared to the other roles, especially when it comes to scaling.

This has led to ADCs dominating the game bot through the bot lane, as well as ADs being played in the top lane, in an unhealthy manner. All of which can be attributed to AD items scaling hard with the first item.

"For 13.14 in the future, we are looking at role power through item choice structure and power curves for AD mythics (IE weak, Gale strong, Tri Force ADC +Top)"

We can expect patch 13.14 to curb the rising occurrence of Tri Force ADs finding themselves in the top lane, and making the laning phase a living hell with the early scaling.

Furthermore, we can even expect the way these issues will be addressed, by changing the top lane champions, instead of purely nerfing the top ADC picks.

"We're looking to address these role considerations through a combination of item and champion changes (to top lane in particular)."

This way, the top laners will also be balanced against the ADCs played in the bot lane, and should not, hopefully, just melt before the onslaught of damage by the time the top lane and bot lane meet.

Now, as for which top lane champions will be hit the most in patch 13.14, we can only speculate, But the PBE had changes implemented to a few toplaners, which were later reverted, so perhaps, they are the ones to look out for.

Additional changes we can expect in patch 13.14 will be specialized ones for a few champions. The biggest changes we can expect are coming to Zyra and Xerath, while the K'Sante changes are still up in the air as to whether they will be delayed.
