Chemtech Drake Has Been Removed
In a statement by the Summoner's Rift Team it was announced that after listening to community feedback on social media and through various survey's they've made the decision the disable the chemtech drake, the chemtech sould and the chemtech terrain.
Does this mean that we will never see the chemtech drake again?
While the Chemtech Drake and its corresponding systems are disabled, we'll be iterating on design changes to solve the issues with the current versions
It seems like the Summoner's Rift team will continue to work on the chemtech drake to release a more balanced version in the future. A timeframe for how long this could take was not given.

Riot to Remove the Chemtech Drake
This information regarding the Chemtech drake comes from Reddit – where most of the Chemtech dragon haters have come together. There, in a thread, developer GreaterBelugaWhale and Bryan “Axes” Salvatore have hinted at the removal of the Chemtech Drake.
We're fielding a survey. It'll be a bit before we get results. The reddit and English-speaking social media backlash is clear, but that hasn't always meant players overall disliked a feature in the past.
Of course, Riot isn’t basing this data merely on the English-speaking community, nor Reddit, but the survey will encompass a large part of the player base to find out whether the Chemtech drake really is causing such problems that she has to be removed.
How is Riot Fixing the Chemtech Drake?
Right now, Riot is monitoring the drake, its buff, the terrain and the soul. In the upcoming League of Legends Patch 12.02 the soul and the terrain are being nerfed and one of its biggest sufferers – Rengar – is getting an adjustment to try and survive on the Chemtech terrain.
So, Riot knows that the Chemtech drake is a bit too powerful, but they aren’t going to remove it right away from the game. Come on, they haven’t removed Zoe or Seraphine yet and there are petitions out there asking for their removal, you think Riot is going to be removing the drake that quickly?
That’s what we call wishful thinking.
